Not much to say about these. The Sunchaser got a lot of love. I was 3 cars down from the Celicas that took 1st and 2nd place for best Toyota, but way more people stopped to talk about my car. So many gorgeous cars on a beautiful day in a perfect location at the Queen Mary. I took a lot of pictures. A few oddballs that would make Torchinsky smile showup as well.

Not sure what I like better, the old school Celicas, Z cars or old pickups. Love the Rocket Bunny cars of any type.

It was a nice show this year. The Sunchaser looked great. You weren’t around, I guess, when I was checking it out, but it was my favorite Celica for sure.

You never see these! Especially the N12. Awesome.
I don’t wanna judge a book by its cover...but given how utilitarian pickups were in the 80s and that this isn’t Australian...I’d say it’s the least SPORTy vehicle in the world.
I’ve never seen this before, but 2 of them have it. Why the hell would you?

Fun fact: those wheels are from a Dodge Stealth. They share the same bolt pattern and are directional like the OEM SVX wheels, and the OEM SVX wheel center caps can be modified to fit without too much issue. It’s an easy way to get a 17" wheel while still keeping an OEM look (the OEM wheels are 16").
Also of note; my best guess is that it’s a JDM import (right hand drive, obviously, but also the Alcyone badge on the hood and the JDM exclusive rear spoiler), though it could be a UK or (an unlikely) Australia import...
Additionally... I’m liking that Pulsar NX in the background, especially the Sportbak canopy.

Likely a fixed headlight mod, enabling the headlights to operate without flipping up. You can just barely make out the turn signals, which were also moved into the same area. What’s odd is that the headlights look like they still retain the ability to flip up, though that’s likely due to the fact that only the bumper was replaced for this mod.
I’d love to know more about this bumper/who makes it.

I guess the ability to use your flip up headlights without actually flipping them up in the name of aerodynamics was all the rage to some back in the day... at least, that’s what I think it is...
